My First Cupcake Contest

I entered my first cupcake contest on October 10, 2019. I participated in the 2nd Annual Safety Harbor Cupcake Contest, supporting the Safety Harbor Library Foundation . It was a fun experience and I would do it again! I tried out about 5 different flavors before deciding on these two: Coconut Carrot Cake with Brown Sugar Cream Cheese frosting and Vanilla with Salted Caramel Coffee Buttercream. I love carrot cake myself, my husband does not, so I was the only reliable taste tester for that flavor. I never made carrot cake before..another first! Once I tasted them, I was in love! I created the Salted Caramel from scratch, that was another first! It paired well with coffee buttercream and vanilla cupcake...like a caramel vanilla latte! I look forward to testing more flavors to select from for my next cupcake contest!
